SRI LANKA SINK MISERABLY!

Wins, wins and more – that is all Team India have been doing since setting foot in Sri Lanka a month and a half back. Dissapointments have been piling on for Sri Lanka who’ve endured a *Tourwash* by Team India. A 3-0 in tests, followed by 5-0 in ODI’s, their worst show in a bilateral series at home.

Shorter the format, the more competitive and intense the match becomes. At one stage 170 was a competitive total. But, when Kohli is in successful form, a successful run chase is a certainty. After Rohit and KL Rahul fell early, the Indian captain took full charge and anchored the innings. He allowed Pandey go settle and then the partnership flourished and it took the game away form the hosts.

Virat Kohli ended up with a brilliant 82(52) in his 50th T20 match. In the ephemeral world of the T20 chase, crafting an innings to endure in the imagination can be tougher than preserving a patch of beach art. That’s no reason for Virat Kohli to feel daunted, though : impossibility has been the stock-in trade for India’s one-man army in this World T20.

So it’s an end to the Sri-Lankan tour and it’s an emphatic clean sweep for India : 3-0 in tests, 5-0 in ODI’s and a win in T20.
